IN THE LAND OF PROSECCO

Villa di Maser (Villa Barbaro), a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio, is situated in Maser in the hills near Asolo. Still today, after several centuries, it is a beautiful agricultural estate.
Surrounded by vineyards, Villa Barbaro has a historic winery, producing highly prestigious white and red wines, including a Prosecco Asolo DOCG and an excellent Incrocio Manzoni.

Open all year round, it is still inhabited by its owners. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape, it has the most authentic charm of one of the most attractive and renowned period residences in the world.

The courtyard entrance welcomes you with its climbing roses and wisteria. You can visit the building and see the six rooms with frescoes by Paolo Veronese, which are his largest and most important fresco work. From here, you can look outside to see the Nymphaeum with stuccowork by Alessandro Vittoria.

A short walk through the vineyards leads to a collection of carriages that includes about thirty exhibits from past centuries.

At the end of your tour, you can have a light lunch or wine tasting, or purchase wine, gourmet products and souvenirs at the wine&shop.
